Here at Turn The Wheels we bike for causes that matter and it is our hope that our awareness and actions can help turn the wheel for a better world!
This pandemic and recent events have brought to light the racial disparities in our healthcare system and the systemic racism in our justice system. We don't plan on sitting around and just hoping for change. We want to get the word out and make a difference.
Where Your Money Goes
We're hoping you all will take a pledge with us! Our goal is to reach $7,200--a dollar for every mile between the three of us. All donations will go to the Equal Justice Initiative. We're trying to be as transparent as possible and simply make it easier for you all. It's as simple as one click and we'll take care of the rest. Don't just donate though, educate yourself! Check out our resources which include books, movies, and podcasts on racial justice.
Who we are & the Ride
We are a motley crew from Michigan, Connecticut, and Indiana who met each other in sunny San Luis Obispo, CA while attending school at Cal Poly. This summer we're biking from Tecate, Mexico to Vancouver, Canada along the Sierra Cascades bike route! The route runs through countless national parks and forests including spots like Yosemite, Crater Lake, Mt. Rainier, and the Cascade Range. We'll be biking 2,400 miles with around 193,000 feet of elevation change along the way - some seriously mountainous terrain!
